1. Introduction

Welcome to DigiCard. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

DigiCard is fully available and operational within the United Republic of Tanzania. These terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania.

2. Account Registration

To use our services, you must register for an account. By registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

Registration Fee: A one-time registration fee of 5,000 TZS is required to activate your account. This fee grants you lifetime access to our platform's core features.

3. Services and Payments

DigiCard provides digital invitation services. Charges are incurred per invitation card created.

  • Card Invitation Cost: 500 TZS per guest (per invitation sent).
  • Wallet Top-up: Users must top up their in-app wallet to pay for services.

4. Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

We value our customers and strive to provide reliable services. Our refund policy specifically covers the following scenarios in accordance with Tanzanian Consumer Protection Regulations:

  • Failed Wallet Top-up: If a transaction to top up your DigiCard wallet is deducted from your mobile money account (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mix by Yas, Halopesa) but not credited to your DigiCard wallet due to a system error, you are entitled to a full refund or immediate credit of the amount.
  • Failed Registration Payment: If the registration fee payment is successful on your end but your account is not activated due to a technical glitch, we will refund the amount or manually activate your account upon verification.

Refund Limitations

IMPORTANT: Refunds are strictly limited to the direct costs of our services paid by you, specifically:

  • Registration Fee (5,000 TZS)
  • Card Invitation Costs (e.g., 500 TZS per card)
  • Other documented system costs directly deducted for a failed service.

Note: Transaction fees charged by mobile network operators (M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mix by Yas, Halopesa) to facilitate payments are non-refundable. We only refund the actual service cost received by DigiCard.

We do not refund for utilized services (e.g., invitations already sent) or for user errors such as incorrect guest phone number entry.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

DigiCard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the services.
